Odyssey is a contemporary dance work that draws on Greek mythology and the symbolic power of ancient death rituals and lamentations—the art of saying farewell.

Inspired by traditional rituals as a source of healing, Odyssey honors the memory and intimacy of shared time, while mourning the absence left by death. Ultimately, the journey leads to a sense of rebirth. The work is steeped in a heavy, dramatic atmosphere, conveyed through expressive physicality and narrative gesture, rooted in mythological themes.

Three exceptional dancers—each representing a stage of the journey: the pre-death period, the present, and the post-death state—embody this emotional arc.

International acclaimed musician and composer Aleph Aguiar, marking his first venture into composing for dance. Aleph will perform live on stage with the dancers, deepening the emotional resonance of the work.
